Our website has been dark since 2021 but we have been quite active in the Fox Valley.
Occupy Elgin has been meeting on the corner of Kimball and Grove almost every Saturday since October of 2011 and has become the most active part of Fox Valley Citizens for Peace and Justice.
In 2022 and 2023 Fox Valley Citizens for Peace and Justice were in the Elgin 4th of July Parade and had a booth at the Elgin Juneteenth Festival.
In 2024, we were honored to receive a certificate of appreciation from the African American Coalition of Kane County on February 24th.
Occupy Elgin maintains a recurring presence at Kimball and Grove every Saturday at 1pm, holding signs and distributing fliers on a variety of social justice issues. A sampling of our recent fliers are below.
